This book deals with soil bioengineering method in preservation of fail slope either by itself or in combination with hard engineering practices. It comprises of eight chapters which deals with soil bioengineering method of slope protection which is as an alternative to hard engineering. It gives the benefit of better aesthetic values, relatively simple application, low cost and less erosion. It discussed approach in soil bioengineering practices its objectives, capabilities and limitation. Methods of soil bioengineering adapted in this book follow the conventional procedure however provide examples of work carried out locally and using locally available material in Malaysia. Application of localized soil bioengineering takes biological, environmental and physical condition of the surface to be treated into consideration. Actual work that has been carried out in Malaysia was presented as an example. This book will be a good reference for personal whom are involved in slope protection and to student who takes landscaping, vegetation and erosion control.
