Tears of Elephant is a children's picture book about an elephant Lucky who lives in a circus. He was forced to separate with his family when he was young. Despite the flowers and applause from the audiences, the other side of his life is full of miserable and loneliness. He begins to think of escaping from the circus. Will he succeed? The story is inspired by rampage of Tyke elephant, a real incident that happened in year 1994. About the author: Yeoh Mian Ci is currently a postgraduate of Media Studies from University of Malaya, Malaysia. She holds Bachelor of Teaching (Hons) Chinese Language For Primary Education.She has five years teaching experience in primary school. She has studied about children literature during undergraduate, and she has huge interest in picture books. She thinks that picture book is a good tool for the children to learn about the world, and at the same time, to instill reading interest in young minds. About the illustrator Heng Lee Xuan is a college student that studying illustration in Adego Academy, Johor, Malaysia. She is specialized in character design, magazine design and typography design, traditional painting and digital painting. She is a graphic design freelancer too. She has experience in business logo design.
