Mount Rinjani or Gunung Rinjani is an active volcano that stands tall in Lombok Indonesia. The volcano boasts a majestic height of 3,726m, which makes it the third highest volcano in Indonesia. The most recent volcanic eruption was on 10 May 2009. Despite the eruption, it did not deter avid climbers from scaling the mountain to bask in its spectacular beauty. From its crater rim and summit, one is able to capture the scenic view of the mountain's surrounding island and other mountains. In particular, the Gili islands and mount Agung in Bali. Tuti and I is a heartwarming story about a young boy, Ahmad Tuti who grew to love the mountain called Mount Rinjani. Since his younger days, Tuti has spent most of his time on the mountain nad as a result, he now works as a guide who brings trekkers up to Mount Rinjani. This story aim to illustrate an extraordinary friendship forged between a man and nature. Tuti's love for the mountain has since made Mount Rinjani, his mountain, his friend.
